Lecture under the title 'Joaquín Rodrigo: Music, Life and Literature', given by Raymond Calcraft and Elizabeth Matthews, both former professors at the University of Exeter. Raymond Calcraft is a specialist in Golde Age Literature, art and music, and Dr. Matthews in modern Spanish Literature, art and film.
Short extracts of music will accompany readings from the book Joaquín Rodrigo: Voice and vision. This lecture is intended to provide an insight into little-known aspects of the remarkable creativity of one of Spain's gratest composers.
